Team Rush!! Just Finished

Jeep Hammer and gang I just finished my TR upgrade took about 30 min from start to finish....I did buy a new TFI coil from NAPA along with new cap & rotor and of course Belkin wires..My only trip was to a Junk Yard for the TFI coil took it off a mercury sable...$5....( the junk yard does give you a firecracker to run off any critters).....SO I have about $85 in the TR and it fired right up...I changed the timing and WOW what a difference no more popping or hesitation....Thanks again!!

How big do the critters get in Fort Myers anyway?

That's a new one for me, firecrackers to scare out the varmints in the engine compartment. I could go for that. Pretty uptown junkyard.

Hey Neals80,

I did the TEAMRUSH upgrade also and it worked great even replacing all brand new parts on rebuilt engine. I got 15% better pep and mileage.

Thanks for posting up, JeepHammer does have a winner with this!!!!

Regards,
Fred

Don't forget to add the ground wire to head(s) and ground wire to the input of the DuraSpark Ignition modual if you have one (black wire).

You want to spend another $8 bucks and about 1/2 hour, Install the dist spring kit.
You will notice alot more torque right off a Idle.

Are you asking about the spring kit?

The Kit was a Mr Gasket I think the # was 925D

Take a few min and read the thread below

I ordered it from Advanced Auto Parts they were the only one I found that could aquire the set and not charge $10 UPS for a $8 package.

It was very easy. Below is a thread where all was discussed a few weeks ago.
