Team rush dizzy cap ?? 1978 CJ-5 w/304

I have read probably 100 pages on the Team Rush ignition upgrade for the Jeep 304. I am ready to order all the MSD parts, but I have a question for any of you that have already made the switch. My 78 304 has the correct distributor (motocraft/duraspark) according to JeepHammer. It looks to me like the MSD cap adapter is supposed to attach to my dist. by 2 screws/bolts inside the cap. Then the actual cap/top is held on the adapter by the 2 spring clips. Here is my question - My factory cap is held on by 2 spring clips...I took the cap off and there is no where to screw on an adapter cap!
I can not picture how the "new adapter cap" will attach to my stock distributor and wanted to get the opinion of other folks with a 78 and up factory ignition. Just trying to get my ducks in a row before I buy the parts. Thanks for any advice and/or comments

I think you're refering to the two screw holes in the top which are just used to keep the sparkplug retaining cap on. They don't screw down into the distributor.

Did you get the adapter which fits between the distributor and the cap?

The bottom part is attached by the existing clips. The cap is help on to the adapter by 2 screws.

Buy this kit..........it will attach to your Duraspark with no problem.

No. Not yet. I wanted to make sure I got the right one. The link the guy from Atlanta posted is the kit I plan to purchase. I know it goes on first, then the MSD distributor cap (top part).

yeah, i think i got the same cap but different adapter....the 2 holes in the top of my cap are used to secure a circular saw blade shaped dish which help retain the plug wires.

Oh, ok....so my "original distributor housing spring clips" attach/ pop on to the "adapter" and then there are 2 screws that hold the MSD cap to the adapter ? Now, that makes sense! Am I thinking right now ? Thanks for the help.
