Tars R Us!

Hello Gentlemen!

I am trying to figure out which wheels to buy for my STOCK 1986 CJ-7. I am getting a set of factory stock wheels, but I still want a set of "black spoke" wheels for everyday clunk around usage! I don't want to lift my Jeep, and am not interested in "monster rubbers"

I would appreciate it if someone has a stocker that they can measure!

Bruce / 1986 CJ-7

I would say a 15x7 or 8. Why not just get an old set of factory White spoke and paint them black? I'm sure you can get them cheap.

I have a restored stock CJ7 I run 31" tires on 15x8 rims. You can get black rims for $35 out of any offroad magazine.
I had to trim my fenderwells for offroading. But other than that they fit fine.

Thanks guys, kinda what I figured!

I have a good set of OEM white spokes with center caps, soon as I can figure out how to get them from Mass to Texas without paying a fortune! I want to restore those back to "new" and put them back with a set of light M&S tires for general puttering about. However, I also want a set of Black Spokes with some "tough" sidewall tires for scrambling around in the Arkansas and Oklahoma rocks!
