So here is my next question on paints, I am looking for a flat tan similar to what I am using now. what is the best paint to use. The current paint job is to clean up the rust and to get an idea of the over all body condition.

The beer and my eyes may be deceiving me, but does that say "Joop"?

Yep. Some do. I think mine may read 'Joop' or 'Jeop' or something like that.

Just finished painting my 3B this weekend. I used a single-stage Sherwin Williams product called Sher-Chem. Not exactly tan, it's a color called Dorian Gray but it's in the tan family.

I started spraying mine with the ultra flat krylon desert tan. It just looked bad. It would soak up all the dirt and oil and grease from anything that touched it. I actually ended up going to a local paint shop and had them match the color and some tractor paint and the put some flattener in it. I'm much happier.

Only picture I have of my work in progress:

@ jreycnc Thanks for the info. I hadn't thought about that.
