Tailgate henge broken, any ideas?

My tailgate henge is broken. Anyone have any good ideas on how to keep the tailgate in place?

You could weld it also, but probably easiest to replace it.

Tailgate hinges are all over ebay! Also.. I'm SURE you can get them from the big Jeep catalogs... Best to just replace the part rather than rig something up.

Boost,

I know what i would do,

first i would manup and determine if i really needed a tailgate, if no then it would go in the big box of parts that have fallen off or i have taken off the old jeep all these years.

if yes, then i would take it off, spent untold amount of time grinding the angles, welding, grinding off the welds until it worked and looked just like it did before, then repaint,

time and effort with my tools, before i would even think about ordering one.

but that is just the way i am,
