T176 for sale

Does any have or know where I can get a solid T176 for a 1982 Cj7 with a Chevy 305? I have an SR4 in there now and it has to go. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can be contacted directly at npagnotta1@gmail.com. My name is Nick. Thank you in advance for your help.

Try Craig's list, the for for sale section on here and other forums

will the SR4 bellhousing bolt up to the T176? If not you're going to have to get an adapter for the SBC (unless the SR4 has one already, then you might be able to use it)

If you can find a T-176 that mounted behind an Iron Duke ('83 and prior) it will have the Gm bolt pattern, so no adapters needed, not sure about shaft lengths.

When I was looking for one a couple years back I couldn't even find a core to rebuild locally.

I bought one from jrjeepparts in IL. Professionally rebuilt for $600 including a 1 year warranty. A very knowledgable guy to talk to as well.

His contact info is in the last post in this thread.
