T176 Question. Need a shift tower.

I have located a T176 transmission that I want. However, the shift tower is missing. The same person has a T177 tranny too. Will the shift tower from the 177 be a direct fit on the 176?
Novak says the T177 has a longer input shaft and bell housing spacers.
But I'm thinking the towers should interchange?

Anyone?

Thanks,
Patter

Yes, they are the same transmission except for the gear ratios.

243 is correct. Here's the difference in first gear ratio and the tag numbers. The longer input shafts were from the T17x in the full size trucks, not the CJ application.

Okay, We will go with the T177 or 176 if we can get it. Appreciate the help.
