T150 question.

When trading out a T150 for another T150 do I need to take the gears off of the back of the rransmission that go to a dana 20? In other words are the gears matched to the ones that stay in the transfer case. Or do I just unbolt the case and bolt it up to the new transmission?

There are a number of different bull gears that vary in both tooth count and pitch. Personally, I would retain the gear that came with the t case. They are removed easily with an air gun.

I will remove them this weekend. I just learned what a bull gear is now. Thanks for the opinion and information. After looking at it I thought maybe it was matched or took a "set" to its partner gear.
