T-150 Input Shaft

I'm in the midst of replacing the clutch, so I have the tranny and x-fer case dropped and set aside for the moment. But I notice on the tranny that the input shaft has a *bit* of side-to-side play. Not much, maybe 1/16" of an inch at the very end. Should there be any play at all or is something not right?

A little play is fine. Make sure it feels smooth when you turn it. Make sure the bushing in the flywheel is still good. A new one is usually in the clutch kit.

Okay. Once it stops raining I'll see what it feels like when turning. Though the bushing seems okay I'll replace it anyway since I have a new one. Thanks!
