Summit Racing Reclining Seats ?

I have been considering these seats for my CJ-5. I have measured my stock 81 Jeep and they are longer in the base by 2-3".

Width they are fine.

They are actually going into a "custom" Cj-5 that is a mid-70's. I could notch the wheelwells but I am not sure I want to.

Anyone have these seats in a CJ-5: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-G1159B-1/

Thank you, Rob

Well that is a fine looking seat. And the price is $100 less than quad-morris' cheapest vinyl. Hope somebody here says they fit 'cuz I'd buy them in a heartbeat!

These are actually on the local CL so they are cheaper still. I am attempting to find pics of them installed.

Damn. I hope someone has installed these because I would pull the trigger on them if I knew they were not a pain to put in.

OK, who makes the call to Summit and requests CJ sized seats. Too early for threats if they don't? I tried searching for CJ7 seats and just got the usual stuff you'd get from quadmorris4x4 etc..

BTW anybody use these
http://collinsbros.stores.yahoo.net/blmose.html
$400 for recliners, w/a fold & tumble rear. Seems like a fair price but they don't mention material. Is it me, or does Collins seem on the expensive side? I know their vehicles are nice/pristine and reflect that, but how's their parts? Price wise? Am I expecting too much in decent material for $400?
And that Summit stuff sounds good enough for off roading clean-up!

I "think" I am going to buy these this morning if they are as good as he says. Worst case, I will use them in a hot rod project or something. I have seen this type of seat before and they have a flat bottom with four holes.

I measured my seats in my stocker 81 and they are not as deep front to back. I am afraid that if I run a full-cage that the foot room will get tight. Width they are ok.

Here are some pics I came across: http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showt...t=summit+seats

I need to chew on it.

I chewed and stewed on it. They would fit easy in a YJ, I have one. But the CJ would be tight due to the front to back distance. Fine in most every other way though.

I decided to hold off for now...

Thanks for listening. Check out the pirates link for a few pics of them installed in a CJ.

I was going to buy them and went and looked at them at Summit in Reno. They are cheap looking IMHO and the plastic around the holes in the back is thin and their floor model was broken so I skipped them.

I appreciate the Recon ya did. Another great (?) deal too good to be true.
They sound like most of the women I've dated, cheap, leathery and flimsy plastic But the mounts all fit!
