Stuck CJ

Visited the lake over the weekend. It's been full, but they drain it 8 ft for the winter. didn't realize the ground was still saturated as deep as I could dig.. Anyone else attempted this before?

Ugh. That looks like a major mess. What's with the pull rope tied to the pier?

The rope is tied to the dock so it doesnt float away when the tide comes back in.......GOOD LUCK with that situation lots of mud to clean off.

Is it still there?

It's times like this that you can appreciate a nice big big winch.

You probably would of gotten yourself out of there.

But thanks for the pictures.

Hard top looks great. Can we use these picture in our Acme HT post?

How strong is the dock? Could you tie off to it and use a comealong to back it out? Doesn't look like you need to go very far for the rear tires to grab solid ground.

Maybe tie off to one of the trees?

We have lakes all around. We spent many a weekend on the lake beds four wheelin. We always had winches and would sometimes have to chain 3 or 4 trucks together for an anchor point. More fun than I can stand now. Did you get it out?

I tried a come along to the dock and I couldn't get it to budge. Your welcome to use the pic in the ACME hard top forum. The mud never got firm when we were digging down so we ended up laying ladders down behind the rear tires . jacking up the front end and put chicken wire down to help with grip, dug under the car because the axles and diff were stuck under mud, and used a come along while trying to drive out. we got it out the next day after a few hours of work

It's lake burton in north georgia. they lower it for the winter to make it easier to build docks

Edit: we also tried to drag it out with a tacoma in 4x4 low and it couldn't pull at all. The mud what the thickest, stickiest, bad idea I've been in. My buddy lost a boot trying to walk away and had to dig it out too.
