Stolen Jeep

My 1978 CJ-7 was stolen about three years ago and it still gets on my nerve to this day. I doubt it will ever turn up but keep an eye out for a fiberglass bodied CJ-7 with a custom diamondplate aluminum dashboard on it. It also has a custon aluminum CNC cut cowl vent cover that has "Balleau" engraved in to it with circular cut slots instead of the usual straight slots. The car was stolen from the back of my house in Detroit. It has the original 258 six in it however it has a Clifford intake and Carter carb on it. The body was still in the original white gellcoat and it has a one piece front end on it that is hinged in the back (stock location). It's got a monster stainless steel gas tank and brand new (at the time of the theft) BFG AT 32" tires on new black steel rims. The car has no VIN plate attached to the dash, I believe it was lost when I rebodied it back in the late 90's. I have owned the car since the late eighties when I was a teen. I don't have a lot of confidence in ever seeing my Jeep again but maybe someone has seen it.

Let me know if you come across it.
Thanks
Todd

I doubt that jeep even exists anymore. That joker was parted out about three years ago.

X2

Something that is unique and easily identifiable would be broken down in to parts on day one. Sorry

I hate hearing of these thefts.

The one that burns me was one I read back when I first joined the forums here, of a guy trying to help out someone on the trail, only to find a gun pointed at him while he was tied to the truck he just pulled out. Couldn't drive off, was tied back. No choice but to get out and let them take it..
