I have purchased all of the below stuff over the years but have yet to install (Jeep is bone stock now except for Aftermarket white spoke wheels and rear bumper/ tire carrier)

Suspension.............. ConFerr Shackles (stock height)

Ignition...................TFI cap and wires, MSD Blaster Coil

Exterior.....Warn SE 8274 winch for front

Custom made frame mounted rear bumper with swing away tire carrier and receiver hitch,

Custom made rocker steps (similar to Warrior Products "Rock Barz" but mount without any drilling). Jeep had original color matched side steps which I have in the shop.

OEM Jeep CJ-8 rocker moulding to install

I plan on making the above mods to the Jeep to make it more user friendly, but I will not be doing ANYTHING that cannot be put back to stock, and I will be keeping ALL stock parts, down to the AMC marked belts and hoses.

Dad special ordered this Jeep in late '84.
Bill of sale and dealership letter is Neat information!

Dad is a packrat. Has lots of old Jeep/AMC dealer pamphlets and brochures as well from when he was looking at Jeeps.

He bought it to hunt in and then decided he didn't like getting up early, so he didn't use it much. I drove it to work and back yesterday. Had about 4250 miles on it when I pulled it back into it's shed.

If anyone wants any pics of anything specific let me know. I'll try to dig out some of the old dealer brochures and see if I can scan some of the pics to post here.

LOL. Negative. He's had some pretty good offers over the years, but he's always told people his son would never forgive him if he sold it.

I've got two kids, so they'll each get one of my CJ7's when they're of age, and I'll have the Scrambler.

They did.Wife went in and she walked back out with the replica radio smiling.
Don't know how the glove box actually got that way but it took a beating from stuff banging against it.

One of my 7's (top one in my sig) is an 85 in almond beige with Honey interior.

I didn't like the way the Scramblers looked when I was younger so I got a '7. Now that I'm older I love the 8's, along with pretty much any Jeep made pre-chrysler.

I didn't put pics of my 7's here because I'm running mild lifts on both of them. They're kinda fugly compared to Keith and a few of the others.

I'll second that. That's a priceless history behind your Jeep.

Thanks guys! I remember when I was a teenager getting mad as all get out cause the old man wouldn't let me drive the Scrambler. Now I realize the wisdom in that decision and am really fortunate he was so unyielding. Had I driven it much in my wild youth I'm sure it would be trashed.

That also gave me enough determination to tell him "fine, I'll buy my own dang Jeep" which is the top one in my sig line. I started working at 15, saved my money, and bought the 1st CJ7 in my sig at 17. Good life lesson there; if you want something, work for it.

Overlander Overload

Righto here's some love from the Overlander camp.
The red one's my new(ish) one (already posted on this thread sorry for doubling up), will get the rebuild treatment since it's so nice. The white one is now sold to my mate for his rebuild since I found the red one. Red one 150K kms, white one 196K kms. Both auto 999, box stock throughout right down to the oil leaks and the Overlander alloy front bar. The red one even has gauges that work! Ignore the bar on the white one, that is a mistake and is not part of future plans for the Jeep, original alloy goes back on.
Edit: the wagons on the white one are now on the red one, turbines went to the white one.

The white one in my shop with the rebuild item in the background. Mine was going to get cannibalised but we have changed our minds with them so nice and all and will now rebuild both.

Here showing the rattle canned new rear quarter:

and here the "Jeep style - if you squint a bit - drop on tailgate (no laughing):

And the best saved for last, the Overlander I saw parked at the beach, how we want all our Overlanders to look:

Thanks Glenn you know I'm lucky enough to be in Phuket right now for a long awaited break and although the beaches are nice they still don't come close to what we have at home.
