Here's my 74 CJ5 after a frame off restoration. Overall theme is "restomod", upgraded and modernized components while trying to maintain a look as close to stock and old school as possible. It has a rebuilt 258 with 4.0L head, HEI, header, 2bbl MC2100 carb, power steering, power disk brakes, T176 4-speed and D300 T-case.

Now that's what I'm talking about!

Same looks as the original with more modern components.

Love the look of the white stamped steel wheels against the green color. Really makes it stand out.

I must get one of these! My Dad had a '48 CJ2A before I was born. I think he'd like it if I got one to restore as long as it wasn't too far gone or money pit. I may even be able to get him to help! Gotta get my CJ7 done first though.

I know there's a picture of the 2A around here somewhere. I'll try and find it and scan it. Edit: yup here it is: I'm not sure if there are more pictures of it or not but I'll keep looking

Not as pretty as you guy's, but I have a lot of fun...

Here is my mostly stock/original 1983 CJ5:
258CI
T176
Dana 300
Dana 30 and AMC 20 differentials.

The seats have been replaced with some inexpensive ones from Rugged Ridge. The paint is original, Nassau Beige, buffed out for some luster, but the decals are faded and I have lots of pin striping courtesy of the AZ desert. Facing the annual frustration of the BBD and AZ emissions, I installed the Junk Yard TBI. In the motor picture you see the throttle body, and I have installed the GM ignition module as well as the knock module on an aluminum flat bar for a heat sink. I modified the duraspark distributor to accommodate the Chevy 7 pin module so the ECM controls both fuel and spark. PO replaced the 2 piece axles with Mosers. The wheels are original white 15X7 with the black pinstripe. They are encased by 31X10.50's. God bless.

That will be awesome bob. Just wish I'd thought about asking the lady I bought mine from for books, paperwork and such.
