Stock Looking CJ's

A thread dedicated to the original CJ. It can be all stock or a rebuild with a stock theme.
It can be 46'-86'. We ask for 4 pictures minimum. I will update this first post as needed with new information.
Enjoy!

Good background information:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeep_CJ

Cool site showing decal kits for CJ's by production year.
http://www.phoenixgraphix.com/jeep.php

Great site to learn about the begining

Right on! NIce Jeeps so far.
My CJ8 Overlander, bone stock except for the wheels in this first picture when I picked it up which are now gone in favour of original wagons.

Might be a week or so before I can get the other direction shots.

Well Its not original but no lift , the only thing giving it away is the sidepipes. The Jeep started life out as a 258, T176 combo. My survivng Afghanistan present to myself was a 350TBI, AX-15 swap. My 21st Birthday to myself is a full repaint in Illusion Blue with a flat black hood stripe. I just dropped it off

I know its not much and looks rough but I live 3 hours from Dallas and had to take "Rusty" to college to bring a fridge. Overdrive helped me achcheive a nice cruising RPM and made the drive Soooo Nice!

The first pic im in front of the rangers stadium and the the cowboys stadium ( not a fan of either )

1981 CJ7 with 79,000 miles, original Iron Duke 151 ci (2.5L) 4 cylinder engine and SR-4 transmission, Dana 300 Transfer Case, Dana 30 Front axle, AMC 20 Rear axle. Narrow track.

Non-original items: 31" tires, aftermarket soft top and doors, winch, trailer tongue box as a storage trunk, tube rear bumper courtesy of PO.

Everything works and it runs great ... except up hills at speeds above 50 or so. Not enough power to keep its speed. Off road it keeps up with all the other jeeps with lifts and larger tires with no problem most of the time.

Pics coming soon. I'm currently painting the hood. In the meantime, here's a link to a video of me wheeling at Barnwell Mountain in Gilmer, TX for the first time (prior to disconnecting my sway bar).

I like seeing the video. The only thing I ask is for you to post 4 pictures or more of your CJ. Thank You.
