I know its not much and looks rough but I live 3 hours from Dallas and had to take "Rusty" to college to bring a fridge. Overdrive helped me achcheive a nice cruising RPM and made the drive Soooo Nice!

The first pic im in front of the rangers stadium and the the cowboys stadium ( not a fan of either )
I think you are missing the point of this thread, forum readers would like to look at "stock looking CJ's". I don't mean to be rude, but your CJ has many "visible" mods that do not deem it stock looking IMHO. Others have posted their CJ's with moderate alterations but they all look to be in stock configuration.

I image I will get flamed now....

No problem I expected to hear from it and I really envision my jeep to appear stock no lift , All-terrain tires, but I want to give a small clue my jeep is not stock. The side pipes I think do that well I am kinda going for a hotrod jeep that is stock besides the powerplant. Any non CJ person will just think I put in the V-8 , and not take into account for my AX-15. Opinions? and sorry if it doesnt fit at all I thought Id show it off a bit. I do have ot say that some of these Jeeps are where I want mine to be in a few months so clean I can eat off of it.

no - you shouldn't be flamed Keith - it had to be said - and you said it well.

and TxJeeper20 you took it well - as it was meant.

this makes the middle child in me smile.

Can I play?

First picture is before I really started digging into my semi restore. Original faded paint, rock crawler wheels and so on.
Other pictures are various tops I've had for my rig. Right now I have a bikini top and a targa top. Going to finally spring for original Renegade decals in the spring so they don't sit around all winter.
Other than that, I'm thinking of going back to the original chrome wagon wheels.

I have noticed an interesting trend. There are a number of Jeeps shown here that have the side steps. Interesting.

my old jeep is a 1984 model, but from the pictures on this site it looks more like the older models.
when i got it, it had the side steps, i took them off as i had never seen a jeep with side steps, about the only change i made other than adding a winch. My jeep is the most base model, 4 cylinder motor, 4 speed trans, with radio, p/s, p/b.

wellmax again: 1984 model
also note my jeep came with low back seats, the passenger seat still has the CJ embossed in the seat, driver seat has been replaced.
someone told me in 1984 the you could get lowback or highback seat, do not know if this is true, but someone had taken the shoulder belts out of the jeep, i had to install lap belts.
center console lock still fuctions and the hard top has roll up windows, however the hardtop has lever door handles which makes me think the top is off an older jeep as the 1984 models i have seen have paddle door handles, but top fits fine.

Nice CJ, not a base model as you think, you have those nice chrome wheels and P/B, I have neither.

I'd post pics, but I'd get ridiculed for not putting the decals back on after my restore.

I'm still working on the Warden about that, she's slowly caving in.

There are some beautiful CJs on this thread...I'm enjoying it. Thanks!

Well as soon as I get off the boat and get her I will get pics up.
Question for this group I have is where do you go about finding out about what was stock and options for the CJ on the internet or books to read I am sure it is out there but would be nice to have links to sites with info on that. Like how to determine which Graphics came with it or were they all the same thru the given years.

I saw the Wiki link and I have a 304 with a T150 3 speed not sure about the trakloc yet as I have not seen it LOL but would the V8 make it a Renegade regardless.

Refresh my memory, what color decals did you end up getting?
