Sure thing Keith. Here it is. One other thing that I just noticed on this carpet set is the vinyl inserts for where the seat folds up. My OEM Laredo carpet didn't have that, and it came with the fold and tumble seat also. Man this Jeep is a rust bucket!!! It's providing a lot of vital information though because nothing cosmetic has ever been taken apart.

'85 CJ-7 Laredo currently under construction.

Thanks.

I saw those aluminum pieces before on the YJ hardtop but never on a CJ hardtop. The YJ version has the aluminum piece cutout around the rear seat fold & tumble seat strap hook though.

That's weird, my 85 OEM carpet came with those vinyl inserts.

I found these straps on Amazon.com for about $7.00 for four of them. They are 12" in length and wondering if they will work as a strap to hold the seat up.

That's fine if you have a factory rear fold & tumble. But I did some measuring 'if' the hook mounted in the factory location and you have an aftermarket rear fold & tumble, you would need a strap that is 16" in length. The aftermarket seats have the seat bottom bumper located inward more than a factory bumper so it is the reason why a longer strap would be needed.

I found these also on Amazon.com for a little over $7.00 but wish I could get them in black and not gray.

Thanks for the pictures on the tiedown straps, I never knew what that hook was for!

On a somewhat related note, my carpet has a small leather path sewn in where the rear fold down catch scapes along the right rear wheel well. I am looking to replace this carpet and cant find anything that has a similar patch. Any advice? Thanks - Mike

I drove an early Wrangler(86/87?) that had carpet with the vinyl patch(es) might have some luck there.
