Steering shaft?

Taking the old gearbox out today, got the lines undone, clamp on the end of the shaft undone. But it appears to be seized up? Any suggestions? I've got it soaking in WD 40, will go back and check on it in a few hours... Any and all help is appreciated!

Also, suggestions on getting the pitman arm off of what appears to be the tie rod end??? Not sure on that one. But need some advice on that one too

I've been going through this painful process for the past week. Loosen/remove the bolt on the bell housing and pry it back with a large screw driver, should slide back enough to remove it from the gear box. You'll need a tie rod puller to remove the end tie rod from the pitman arm. Good luck.

That's the thing. Is the shaft supposed to move? I know on GM vehicles, the the intermediate shaft slides so you can pull it out
