steering problem

I got a 1985 jeep cj7 ,was on my way to work and had to stop real quick, and then my steering was screwed. It would pull to the left then when you were trying to correct it it would whip back to the right . checked all the bushings they seem fine but somthings up after awhile it went back to normal any suggestions just got this thing last week im a jeep nooob

Sounds like a rubber line to a caliper is bad.

also it has a 3 inch lift or so the shackles are 6 inch hole too hole front and back the ones under the rig are about three inches off the frame it did the same thing once when I took it out of four wheel drive I got back on the road and the crazy steering happened again

Get rid of the long shackles, they always cause steering problems because they change the castor angle.

Do a search for "Death Wobble" on the forum and start reading why.
