Steering play/wander ????
1982 CJ. Ok, the jeep tends to wonder from side to side while driving in a strait path. I tightened down the steering box-Power Steering, b/c there was a good bit of play in the wheel before, but now that it is tight the car will suddenly need to be corrected one way or another b/c it starts wandering. My thoughts are that this might be a tie rod issue, but then again i am not really sure at all.
Any advise??

Search. We field one of these type of questions at *least* once every other week and all of the troubleshooting info is already out there. You need to check every single piece of the steering system from the column on out to the tie-rods, ball joints & u-joints.

No need to apologize, just kind of a standard internet forum thing. 9 times out of 10, something common like this has been covered several times.
