steering column wiring

Hi all

I have a question regarding my steering column on my 78 CJ7. What are the electrical connections for at the very bottom of the steering column? I believe there are four connections just before the column meets the firewall.

Are you saying electrical connections other than the ignition switch and steering column connection?

The first 2 pictures is the neutral safety switch if you have an automatic.

Not sure were the ground goes. Looks added. Maybe the jeep was having grounding problems and the PO added a ground
