steering column wiring

Hi all

I have a question regarding my steering column on my 78 CJ7. What are the electrical connections for at the very bottom of the steering column? I believe there are four connections just before the column meets the firewall.

Are you saying electrical connections other than the ignition switch and steering column connection?

Yes, exactly

ignition, blinkers, hazards, and horn.

Pics would be helpful?

Lee: pictures are om their way. Yahwhy: thank you, but where and how do I connect them? I'm a rookie when it comes electrical stuff

Well it could be your ignition switch or your turn signal harness unless your column was swapped if some other vehical.

And on a related not for me, does anyone know where this ground wire is supposed to go? Attachment 808706

The first 2 pictures is the neutral safety switch if you have an automatic.

Not sure were the ground goes. Looks added. Maybe the jeep was having grounding problems and the PO added a ground
