My '85 has the pillar while my brother's '79 has the gusset.

The new tub, while definitely older is in sooooooo much better shape, so this is definitely the right track. But the thing that throws me the most is the lack of that little detail below the windshield hinge- and the screw pattern on the cowl.

"I am doing my first CJ restoration- and I am super psyched! My Dad is a big hot rodder, but I am somewhat of a late bloomer (I'm 35 now) and I was off doing "other things"

LOL, late bloomer, hey I got my first CJ at 59 years young and had wanted one since high school so don't feel too old.

Welcome aboard WNC84CJ7, you have found a great place and great Jeep owners.

I see you live in a great area for a Jeep in North Carolina. Lots of great Jeep riding areas
