spring over lift
I have been thinking about putting my 4" inch spring lift over my axles to get more height. if anyone has any info on this please share a story or a pic.

i belive your steering would go to crap if you didnt upgrade it. thats what i have heard

That's a ludicrous amount of lift. I'd suggest you do a search (you can just flat out use Google or use it specifically to search this site) and start reading. SOA has been beaten to death here and on every other Jeep forum and isn't as cheap and simple to do right as some of you newer guys seem to think it is. I'll bet you if you just went through the first 2 or 3 pages of posts on this site you'd find at least 2-3 threads dealing with some aspect of it. Do your research, then ask specific questions on things that you need clarification on and we'll be glad to help. Hopefully I won't get another batch of folks thinking I'm flaming/being a jerk because I suggested that you search first...

Do a search first...
But why put that lift? I run 35 with 4.5" and a 1" BL. The jeep would be top heavy on the street and ineffective on the trail. Unless you are going to turn your Jeep into a monster that has little in common with normal Jeeps, then investigate another option. PS- Ask 401 ton and Big Lime how much $$ they hav in those monsters! |
