SPRING OVER AXLE- roughly how much lift do you get?is it better then a 4" +body lift? Roughly whats the cost of a SOA, and how much time? What is neccessary to do it, as far as brake extensions, shims...? Which works better? After a SOA what tire would i be able to fit?

Hi agin..
A soa is $$ buy the time you get the springs/ shocks/ brake lines/ Drop Pitman arm/ and drop tranny. u are looking at 1,000$+
but if you go with a 4'' lift they come with every thing and you could add a 1'' body lift if you want too. But with the SOA you can't add lifted springs too it, also the spring life does not last half the time as just a reg. lift
Hope this helps you....

No one sells a hole kit butt.....
Quadratec Catalog sells - a Spring over Axle Lift Kit that has the hard were to bolt the springs over the Axle.. but does not come with shocks/break likes/drop pitman arm/or springs.. you have to use your own springs i would say buy a 2'' spring then you have to buy brake likes, then you have to buy shocks..
The Quadratec SOA is 399.99$ you should take a look.. every thing eles you have to weld... www.Quadratec.com
hope this helps..

~5.5" lift with stock springs.

Mine cost ~$200 for shocks, pitman arm, mics stuff. You may need a cv drive shaft. Get it off the front of a waggy or cherokee in a junk yard and have it cut down to fit. You need the yoke off the front of the transfercase too.

Time depends on eqipment. Easily done in a weekend. Can be done in about 4hrs if you've done it a few times.

Will fit 33-35" tire.

You've got internet, search for SOA in yahoo or something and you'll find plenty of info about it.

WHAT!!!!!!!

I think 'chad' has been hittin' the pipe!!

You can add lifted springs to a spring-over, the springs last just as long, and you'll never get the same amount of wheel travel out of a lifted spring. The lift is gained by adding arch, and limiting droop!!! The same parts you will need to do a 4" spring under lift, will work on a spring over lift( pitman, shocks, brake lines, etc.)

You already have the springs, so just add the cost of the above mentioned.

I personnally think you can't beat the ride quality( smooth ride and articulation) of the spring over.

I HAD a 4" lift, changed to spring-over with 1 1/2" springs...

major ride quality and articultion improvement!!

Just my opinion. God luck.
