speaker location for 77 CJ5

hey, just got the Jeep out on the street and it is alive and well (not too well, a few things left) but I will be putting in a stereo and speakers (nothing huge, just a cd deck and two speakers. I will keep the deck in the locking console, but does anyone have any theft-proofing ideas for the speakers? Where should I put them and how to mount them to prevent them from getting stolen. My jeep has/will have a soft top and the doors dont lock.

I'm trying to visiualize my dad's CJ-5 and the only place that I can think of is the stock location behind the dash. Things that are screwed in usually tend to not walk away. I can't think of any other place that they'd fit, unless you want to spend 200 bones on one of those tuffy boxes for them.

I dont have a stock dash, put a stainless one that does not have speaker grilles. I am currently thinking of attaching them to the bottom border of the dash on the driver and pax side, but they would be pretty easy to swipe then.

I don't know how well that would look either. I supose if want to hack up your dash you could just dremel out some speaker grills. You could also rivet them in instead of screwing. People tend to not swipe things that require too mutch effor to remove.

There are these bad boys, but I'd just go with no speakers before doing these.
