Spark plug wires

i got the spark plug wires as recommended by JeepHammer for Tearmrush (http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f8/i-...nitive-669495/). Part number WR4050 from Motorcraft.

1. Why are the ends different on the spark plug side for each wire?

2. Why are there 8 wires?

Thanks!

It says the WR4050 comes with 6 spark plug wires and both style coil wires. One coil wire will not be used.
