Softdoor Compatability

I am looking for a set of softdoors for my 78 CJ7. I am finding plenty but I'm not sure what years will fit. I know doors from a 76-86 will work but many advertise "CJ7/Wrangler." How new can I go in the wrangler model and they will still fit? I don't have strikes installed yet. Also some have paddle style handles and others have a turn-lever style. Does it matter?

I'm not sure but I heard that the YJ soft doors will fit the CJ fine.

The door frame will be the same from 76 to 95. The key is the 76 to 81 use the turn latch, while the 82 to 95 use the paddle style (the perfered by most). Get the one to match your set-up.....or install the stricker pins........that will fit the 78 tub.

Anybody know where I can get the stricker for the latch type of handle?

Thanks,

Thanks for the info. I'll probably go with the paddle style. Easier and cheaper to fabricate a striker. As long as the door fits the hole. Thanks again.
