Smittybuilt XRC Tube fenders ??

Does anybody have these and have any opinions on them they look good and pretty stout to me 3/16 plate on 1.5" tube. Also, does anybody know if they reuse the inner fender. The website says stock fender modification but it does not specifically say the reuse the inner fender. I was looking into Genrights until I found out they had that goofy cutout on the sides and the treks are quite pricey... to bad they do not offer builders kits.

Since you are local, you could use 4Play fabrication. He is in Springdale and his name is David. His number is 479-246-9730. He does flat fenders for $250 with an inner fender and $150 without. Here is a picture of his work. And he can change the design to fit your needs.

Here are the specs:
Quote:
I used in 1 1/2 tubing 120 wall and 11 gauge sheet metal for the fender and sideplate the firewall bracket is made out of 2x1/4 flat the front bracket is made out of 4x1/4 flat cut and bent so you can use two of the three upper bolt holes

I will check him out the only problem is by the time I have him add a flare he will probably be higher priced. I would make them myself if I still had my JD2 bender...wish I would have never sold that thing.

Bought the Genrights w/3" flare today. The website shows the sale price to be over but they sold them to me any way for that price (349.99) said they had 2 sets left for the cj7's for that price and I got one whatever that means. Not real crazy about the cutout but it does included a block off plate maybe I will like the look better in person. Ill post some pics up when they come in.

Got one of the Genrights mounted up this evening and these things kick ***. They look way better in person. How could everyone not be putting these on their rigs??? Only problem now is I think I want the rear tube flares to match. I'll post up a pic tomorrow.

Just bolted on for looks as of now. I still need to get the inner fender on then I'll prime them.

How much of a flare do you have compared to a factory flare? It looks good!!

They are only the 3" flare but it seems like they cover about 1.5" more than stock. They are pretty flush with they outside edge of the tire now.
