Holy paint fumes, Batman!! Even with a respirator, that's some nasty stuff! I'm glad I'm done smelling auto paint for a while.

The Ol' Girl is all painted, and shining like a diamond. The last coat went on this morning. I'll probably let the paint cure for a few days before I start putting her all back together. I'm waiting on new door seals from Quadratec, anyway.

Here's are a few shots. It's not show room quality, but it ain't too shabby for a noob in a garage.

The first pic is one of my roll bar patches. Those were a PITA!! Glad to have it fixed, though.

I got clearance from the tower ( aka, the wife) to spend the $300 on them, if i want to. Haven't pulled the trigger, yet.

Looks great Matt. I am so jealous. I wish that I had a heated garage to at least spray my primer. Anyways, keep us posted on the progress.

Matt -
Great job I recently bought a CJ / YJ hybrid with most of the rejuvination work done, but it does need paint. Have been tearing my hair out trying to decide on a color........ White is on the short list. I'm really interested to see where you go from here. Now, I'm really motivated!

Yeah, when it's my money you're spending....LOL!!

SJM85CJ7, my garage is far from heated. I've been using a cheesy little electric space heater. I just drag it around to whatever spot I'm working. That, and I usually have about 4 layers on under my coveralls.

Unfortunately, my wife is getting impatient to have her garage space back, so I guess my workshop will be going away, soon.

shum8, I'm glad to provide you some motivation. I struggled with color selection, too. Ultimately, I chose not to disassemble and repaint my dash. It's all original and in almost perfect shape. Consequently, I decided to stick with the original AMC Olympic white to match the dash.

Good luck with yours, and show off your work.

Matt

Well, the Ol' Girl is almost all back together!! I'm very excited.

She's sporting her "summer look" at the moment, since I still have to reassemble the full hard-doors, and re-paint the hardtop.

I'm still undecided on the Renegade decals. To be honest, the wife and I are kinda diggin' it without. Opinions?

Here are a few shots.
