should i keep or scrap this axle?

I have a front axle out of a 1980 dodge 1/2 pickup. i dont know what type it is. i do have a 77cj-7 and a 93 yj , and both i plan on building with stronger axles. so do I hang on to this axle? i plan on 35" for each jeep.

an '80 W150 front end will be a Dana 44, but will have to be narrowed significantly to be useful under a Jeep. It probably has 3.54:1 R&P, possibly taller but most likely not lower unless someone regeared in the past. IMO a properly geared Dana 44 will handle 35s as long as you're not doing anything too crazy. My Scout II w/4.09 Dana 44s had no problem with 33" Swampers.
