Short tailshaft Dana 300

What's a good price for a dana 300 with the shorter tailshaft? I've found one locally for 75 bucks is that a good deal?

You can't get replacement speedometer gears for the short shaft. If you have a CJ7 the long one will be OK. For $75.00 I'd buy both and sell one for $300.00

After just buying a dana 300 replacement myself. I second John Strenk. Locally they go for $300. I bought one on ebay for $280 with shipping. The long shaft versions also have lots of aftermarket output shaft options. But the short shaft versions are supposed to be stronger stock vs stock. I want to be able to change my speedo gear so I stuck with the long ones. There are 5 short shaft versions all for sale in CO right now. You would think the long ones would be easier to find.

Well I bought the shorter 300 when i go pick it up if he still has the other one I'll try to get it also. I figure you can't have to many jeep parts. I already have two dana 20 transfer cases I might as well have two 300's.
