Jason,

I filled out the survey. I hope your boots become available. They look super.

Have you thought about leather?

I have, however the cost involved for real leather is high, and it's not as durable when it comes to mildew and mold. Basically, it's possible but takes a lot more care to do so. The vinyl I have looks much like leather and has a nice heavy weight to it. It will last a long time!

This is timely for me. I had the last rubber one last 4 yrs and it crumbled, now I have an extra floor vent usually warm air. I am looking for one for my 86 with t 5 but will not do omix or cheap stuff this round. Don't want to spend 100$ on it either.

Glad to hear! Thankfully we are no where near that expensive. That was the biggest thing for me , make a quality boot that would last, but keep it affordable.

Any thoughts on making the clutch rod boot for the firewall? One that has a bushing for the rod to pass through like the OEM version had and not the Crown crap that wears out in a few months.

I have actually never seen it but I'll check it out. Do you have a picture of the original by chance?

This is the Crown version but the OEM is just like it but with a bushing for the rod to slide through.

Three screws through the base and onto the firewall. There are holes behind the rubber membrane, but you can't see them in the photo. There will be one at the top and the other two are spaced 120 apart from the top one.
