Shackles Questions?

Im looking to replace my shackles on my 64, been doing some research but still
looking for more info, I still have my stock shackles with a 2.5 skyjacker lift, and would like to do a .5 shackle lift as i know any more than that can screw up a lot of things, but im just a poor college kid so i gotta keep it cheap, so opinions on greaseable? fully welded or non fully welded? brand suggestions?

0.5" shackle lift means you need a 1" longer than stock shackle. As you go higher in the lift springs, you will need a longer shackle anyways.

Ridge, there is a guy in Everett that has a CNC plasma table. He made me a set for my Dad's '72 CJ5 and charged me $15 for them. They were made from 3/8" plate and he had drilled the holes instead of burning them out. Much stronger than anything you can buy off the net.

Cool I'll do that, but there is a guy on Craigslist offering to cut out steel for shackles and weld them if you wanted to for about the same price, we're the ones you had made one piece welded shackles or the 2 piece?

They were two piece. His Jeep had welded shackles on it before and it handled/flexed like crap. Put the two piece shackles on there and it smoothed out the ride a bit.
