shackle vs. body lift???? '83 cj7

putting a 2.5" suspension lift on my 83 cj7. i was going to put a 1" body lift on there, but got a great deal on some 1" shackles. any advice or pros/cons about a shackle lift?

I did the 2.5 with a 1" body lift, works well for me.

Cheap Lift

I added in 1.25" Shackle Lift, and a 1" Body Lift.
The shackle lift didn't hurt anything. No added steering problems or anything.
With the Body Lift, I had to lengthen the clutch rod by 1". Other than that, things went fine.

Shackle lift will lessen the caster and cause more wandering. But 1" probably won't be very noticable.
