CJ prices tend to be area specific. What I might pay here really doesn't matter to South Dakota. I'd research Craig's List and other local sources.

Generally speaking, pictures of "No Rust!" and receipts for work and parts can only help.

I will be trying to get $10,000 for my 80 CJ5. Lots of new parts and fresh 360. It will be interesting to me to see what you get. I then can see where I will start.

I probably will toss it up on cl and a few other sites, but wanted to give this community a shot first. Like you say, prices vary all over the US, so I'd rather someone hit me with what it would be worth to them, than have a sky high number that only appeals to people in certain areas.

I understand the tons of threads of "what is my jeep worth". I've read them. I'm not the typical seller in that I don't want 10k for something that's not worth 10k. I have no number set in my head and I'm not wanting 5k so I can buy something else that's 5k.

Let me be absolutely clear. Please MAKE AN OFFER. I don't want a thread full of "it's worth this much" or "it aint worth that down here".
Just a heads up. When a moderator sees this thread, it'll probably get deleted. The forum rules are very specific about "no soliciting".

I think the idea is to prevent this forum from becoming a online garage sale, with all the usual disputes that arise.

Good luck selling your Jeep. And, my oh my, those are quite the set of fender flares you got on that thing.

Matt
