Ok this may be the stupidest question ever. I bought besttop seat risers/brackets, on the drivers side, why does the front right corner curve way up like that?
The other 3 corners contact the floor, the front right corner is 3" off the floor.
Looking in my Jeep floor, there is a rise on the front driver side and the left front passenger side on the floor. If you are looking at this bracket on a flat floor, that is your problem. Try looking at it in the Jeep.
Thanks. Thats what I thought at first, but what I described is with it sitting in the Jeep!! I have the usual center hump directly over the transmission but it in no way comes into play with the big rise in the seat bracket.
I can't help but wonder if the floor pans are not original. PO had minivan seats installed and I'm almost positive the steering column is not from a Jeep, so there's no telling.
I bet you have a modified/refitted floor pan then. I hope I did not come off as a smart aleck. It was not my intention. Maybe you can fabricate a block or brace to make it work?
