If your posts on your thread are ramblings I can't imagine how effective you would be if you focused!

Yeah- I don't want to talk about work... I live it!

Well Scott just look at how long my thread has gotten and I'm no where near done. Yep I ramble. I like people, well most of them anyway. Dope smokin, dumb, lawless, lazy, and well I'd better quit. You're gettin the picture and I know you think the same way.

My wife asks me about work and I hardly say anything. It's not that I'm keeping stuff from her, it's that I do it all day so why talk about it at night.

Hey what's next on your CJ?

Okay... no more fun stuff. Back to business! I can take a hint!!

The first pic is my Jeep with the aftermarket fender the PO installed. He installed it out of the box... he never painted it. When I found the Jeep the fender was solid rust. I wirewheeled it and primed/painted for fun. It is not the final color, just something to do at the time. The interesting thing about the whole deal is that the rust pitted the metal and made a great texture on the fender. I wish I could reproduce that for the entire Jeep finish.

This is what it looks like. I have the flare and side light in the shop. Not going to install until I get to that point.

The BIGGIE question that I have is in regards to the pedals. I installed a new reman master cylinder, and now my brake pedal is way high. Please tell me why, and how do I get it back to level with the clutch. The other side of the coin is this... the clutch is worn and chatters. I need to replace it. Will the clutch pedal ALSO be that high once I do? It looks like the clutch pedal is on the floor, but it is not. It is an illusion.

another angle

and yet ANOTHER angle!

This is bugging me! After the master replacement the brake pedal just "popped" up after taking it for a test drive.

Scott, it was bugging me too so I modified the brake rod to keep the pedals level. I later found out while searching Collins Brothers website the pedals are offset but I still have no idea why. Here is a picture from a low mile, original CJ7 on their website.

It looks like, in the pic, that the clutch and E brake pedals are about the same height. I wonder if the E brake is depressed? I would guess that it is. I am/was trying to use it for reference for the other pedals.

My brake and E brake are pretty much equal now, and my E brake is not depressed. A little offset would be alright, but you can actually catch the side of your foot against the pedal when going from gas to brake.

When you say you modified the rod, did you cut it, or can you screw it in some and reattach? Thanks Dave.

scott mine has the same problem! I was able to screw in the rod that goes from the vacuum booster to the pedal and it still stick up slightly but not as bad as yours. I would say you need to screw that in (I jsut realized you dont have booster) or if it doesnt screw, modify it.

That's what I was wondering... if it screwed in. It is such a hassle for me to get my hands on the rod at the pedal that I didn't want to take it apart for nothing. Thanks

how is it hard? You just reach under there? I can adjust my pedal at any time. I just take out the cotter pin and turn it in and out. Are we talking about 2 different rods?
