When you get up this way I'll take you out and show you some of the management areas and sinkholes here. I have a friend that rents canoes and kayaks so if you don't have any maybe I can get the super deal for you and the family to hit the river with me. Of course you may want to be in a boat bigger than this guy they caught last week .....

Relax Scott, it's not that big. The people are just really small.

It's big but I think they have the people back from it a bit for the optical illusion. Nile's commonly go 17-18' and 1000 lbs though. It's not their average but it's not out of the ordinary. We have some in the 12-13 range in the river and I still get in the water in waders in winter and a ton of people swim all summer. We got this 11'4" 2 years ago. He was just a hair over 590 whenwe took the truck over the scales.

Halo - Do the waders taint the flavor of your leg when he chomps down on it or do they just help contain the blood so other gators don't come looking for table scraps?

We dumped a little boat one time and went in the water with waders on. Hard as he!! to get the boat right and get back in it. As I struggled to get my feet on something to push up I kept kicking this log and trying to hook it underwater and pull myself to it to climb up. ..... NOT a log. It was about a 11' gator who slowly decided to rise to the surface and had my wife's cousin wetting his waders.

Thank goodness it was cold cold and in the low 20's .... he didn't have the energy to eat me that day! We both got in the boat a bit faster though.

My hunting buddies and I call that the "Chuck Adams pose". He's a famous bowhunter who always sits about 10 feet behind his kills to make them look bigger in the pictures.

Your wife's cousin was undoubtedly warm!

That Nile croc is just about the right size I'd use for bait if I were to hunt crocs.

We both were for a second .... then we tried bailing out the boat, the motor was swamped and wouldn't start and he had a dinky paddle you couldn't stir a soup kettle with. We had to get to shore and then walk the boat around to the nearest landing .... Only I could manage to do that on a 20 degree day in FLORIDA! DOH! We did both hold on to our guns though!

Fired the 7!! Clay did it, actually, while I was at work today. I think that is SO COOL! My kid is paying me back!! I think the fuel pump is gone... no fuel at the carb.

And the second new-outtadabox fuel pump leaks too, but not as bad. This is the Airtex brand of mechanical pump. I checked O'Reilly and NAPA, and they have the same pump. So another one is ordered from AZ. Three's a charm... right? But I did back my 7 out of the shop and putzed around the yard in it. First time in a year!!

How about you keep a fire extinguisher handy so you don't burn the jeep or shop down before I get there.
