Scott,

Get those broadheads sharpened up, and flying true. As I'm sure you know, those porkers can have an awfully tough hide.

Filling a freezer with succulent wild pork makes dealing with those messy critters all worth it.

Good luck, and aim small....

Matt

Thanks for the input Fellow Jeepers!

Matt, unfortunately my hunting arrangements/connections has changed for this coming year. I can no longer abide by the idiotic behavior of the land owner. I have to find a lease somewhere that is family oriented where I can take my boys and occassionally wifey. Bummer, too, because it was across my fence!

thats a really nice hood ornament Scott, don't know if it will fit in with the final paint scheme of Lizzie however.

Scott,

Sorry to hear that.

I hate the fact that virtually all hunting ground is being leased these days. The average hunter can no longer knock on a landowners door and politely get permission to hunt. They have to have their check book in hand, with a healthy balance, or be an outfitter.

I solved that problem by buying my own chunk to live and hunt on.

Good luck,

Matt

That's our goal too, but for now it won't fit. If we can find someone that has land and wants to trade for a nice house, then maybe!! Most of the local leases around here are "good ol boys" that secure a good piece of ground then find others to split the cost. It's not corporate, but sort of insurance. Of course, there are those who think they have the best deer and game, and they want $20 and up per acre! We'll see what happens. CL has several areas looking for hunters that are fairly close by. The BEST part about this unfrotunate arrangement is that the landowner (neighbor) won't have me to plant his plots or keep up his house/stands. And he's pathetic!

If I make it so it swivels, I can turn it around, hook the beak over the windshield, and keep the hood up!

Vicki says you can shoot the deer that are eating her Hostas any time you want, for free. The deer are corn fed, and good sized. I have counted as many as 30, within 300 yards from the house. They are thick up here. Fawns are running around also.

I'll send you some Scott. The PO of my house loved them and planted maybe 100+ of them and at least a dozen different varieties. Don't have nearly as many deer as Bill but the few that are here have no problem jumping my 6' fence to come in and chomp them.

Skipper I finally got around to installing the She-Gators (AKA Girl Friend) hood ornament on her JK. Though I don't think she was real happy with me on account of mounting one of her relatives on the hood and two I think she would have prefered roses. Sheesh dead flowers only last a couple days a well preserved Gator head can last a long time!

I just dont understand why she say I aint romantic

Try painting the JK Camo, me thinks the GF doesn't like the color clash. You know, like women's shoes, everything need to be color coordinated .
