Didn't someone just post that Rotella has now taken out the needed additive that the rest of the new oils took out a while back?

Shells website indicates it is still API CI-4+, wouldn't that indicate that it still has the levels of zinc and such? New to the Rotella T, just started researching it on here last night, but was planning on switching over to it maybe this weekend.

Delo 400 has a higher level of zinc than Rotella.
You shouldn't really need higher levels of zinc in an engine that is already broken in though. The only benefit I can see of using an oil rated for diesel engines is the detergent levels. That would only be beneficial on a high mileage engine with lots of varnish deposits and it would still take a long time to make any difference. |

So my 258 has about 5000 miles on a rebuild, and a total of 127000 on the odometer. I really just want to run a better oil than whatever Jiffy lube is currently pumping into the engine, and several thread on here really touted the benefits of the diesel oil (yea mainly for its cleaning properties). So if I want to see another 100K out of my old girl, it is best to start in on something like Rotella T?
Guess I should mention that I am looking at no more than 3 oil changes a year, given how low the yearly mileage is that I drive.
