roll over check valve

Under the left rear tub corner are 2 valves for in the event a CJ rolls over.

They are to stop fuel from coming out of the gas tank.

One is called a liquid check valve. the other I believe is a fuel check valve or fuel shut off, or somethin like that.

I thought I seen where new ones could be bought from either 4wd Hardware or Quadratec. I searched my catalogs and can't find them.

Does anyone know where I can buy new ones?

Not an easy thing to come by, but here are a few:

Ebay Rollover Check Valve, jeepaccessories usually has a couple

Willys.net Rollover Valve, doesn't look NOS, but the price is right

Collins Bros. Rollover Valve, again kinda pricey, but looks OEM

and there's always the bone yards, most anything AMC used the same rollover valve, IIRC....

I am looking for two rollover check valves for my 1983 CJ 7. I am running into dead ends every where mentioned above and at the dealer, any one have any current ideas, this thread is a little old maybe someone has an old tank with the valves on them?

After the metal shell of my rollover valve rusted out, I replaced it with a plastic one from a 90's Nissan Altima. It's the black one at the lower left. It's a very close replacement, although it mounts differently, which is why I used a zip-tie to secure it. I am not aware of a source for the liquid check valve, which is the one on the upper right.

try the dealer again, use a 87 to 95 YJ model, they are the same with roll over check valves in the tank. I think that is what you are looking for? get the rubber seals as well. They are not the liquid check valves under the tub rear fenderwell. I have the part number somewhere if needed.

The second link has the liquid check valve. Are they out of stock?

I don't recall ever taking one of those off my Heep during disassembly... Should I be worried?

anybody know of a cheap fuel in-line check valve to keep fuel from flowing back to the tank when its stitting? I was thinking of using a brake residual pressure valve but im not sure if they restrict to 2 psi in both directions its gotta be free flowing http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-Pou...Q5fAccessories
