rockers?

I have a old tool box from a truck that im going to cut and make some rocker covers. I've seen on here ppl do that. but havnt seen how ppl attach them. what's the best way to do that? Rivits, bolts? they wont be for protection just a cosmetic thing.
thanks

if cosmetic, 3M makes an adhesive that holds them pretty well
I prefer rivits, but use the adhesive as well to assure they dont fall off
