Yea I've seen several that the trim covers the hole and others where it actually goes around and leaves the hole exposed. Some may even actually have been filled or patched. The lower part of my rocker panels have a wavy look to them and I just want some different options to try and hide the imperfections. The trim on it now is just a hair to short, I need somethin to sit slightly higher but cover all the holes. If I can't have both I'd rather have somethin sit a little higher. Any suggestions?

I have 5 holes per side, but no hole on the fender. I have two directly after where the tub and fender meet and this is factory.

Not the best of pictures, but no hole in fender here.

Typical AMC/Jeep. They probably did that after changing the Jeep stamping on the sides from Jeep to Joop Mid 1984

My '85 had the holes in the original OEM fenders and Joop on the tub.

I guess they did a quick change for the 86 then. Or maybe this has to do with the Laredo package itself. This is kinda odd, as most CJ year comparisons are.

Edit: Well, I guess you're a Laredo too. Just straight weird.

No Holes on my base V8 '79 CJ7. Then again I have no rocker trim whatsoever. Not even the protrusions on the fenders. FWIW

My all original '81 tub has the holes.

I'm guessing the fenders that don't have the holes have been replaced at some point. But I could be wrong....

Mine were factory fenders. I've known the CJ since new, and bought it from a family friend in '83. But Pre '81s were a little more plain than their later siblings.

Yeah, I'm the second owner and I'm pretty sure the fenders are original.
