I have 4 new tires 33x12.50 I want mounted on new rims. I currently also have 33 x 12.50 the rims I currently have are 15x10 rims. Sometimes my tires rub the leaf springs when turning is there away I could prevent that from happening with the next set of rims I buy. I have had my eyes on the cragar 352 black rims that are in the quadratec catalog.
Is there a cheaper place to order these from I will be ordering five of them when I do.
Running narrow trac axles also.
Thanks ><>

I would suggest getting yourself 15x8 rims. Make sure the backspacing on them isn't greater than 4".
This is going to bring your stance in 4", meaning you won't stick out as far from your fender flares, but you'll also not ding the hell out of the rims on the trail when/if you air down.

would 2 inches of backspacing be too much on my axle bearings dont want to stress any thing out. I have one piece rear axles now.
Thanks Daniel><>

my understanding is that 2 in back spacing on 15 x 8 will give me a wider stance with narrow track axles running 33 x 12.50 tires
Thanks Daniel><>

This is your best option. Also, the narrower your rims, the less likely the tires will break the bead when you air down. Even with 8" rims, many of us got dirt in the beads and started loosing air. One guy completely lost his bead, even with 8" tires. (i think they aired down a little too much is why) I didn't have a problem with 12-13psi. They were all airing down to 10-11 psi.

2" is about all you should go or too much stress on the bearings.

easy way to keep the tires from rubbing the springs... look for your adjuster it will be a bolt sticking out by the nuckle. by your axle u-joints. you might have to put a lil longer bolts in. screw it out till you can't turn the wheel sharp enough to hit the springs.

Daniel, I have a 81 narrow axle with 33's and 15 x 10 rims. I ordered the rims with a 3'' inside and 7" outside offset to eliminate spring and inner rear fender well rub. That combination has worked well for me for what its worth.

I agree that all you need to do is adjust the stops to keep the wheels from turning into the springs. Its pretty simple and cheaper than new rims.

I run 12.5" wide swampers on 15x8 rims with 2" backspacing and have no problems at all with bearing wear, and the 8" rim keeps the tire (for the most part) on the rims with 4-5psi offroad. I used to run 10" rims and was always knocking the tire off the bead.
The only problem I see is finding a set with 2" backspacing, I haven't looked for any since I bought mine 3 years ago, but I have a buddy who says he can't find any, so if anyone knows who sells 'em let me know.
