Yes it is, That would be the Orange Wire. When you ground that wire the 4WD light will light up. If you have a D300 there is a switch by the t-case shifter housing.

yes, i'm running a d300. so i could run the orange wire to the t-case.. good. does that require any special type of connector to attach it to the t-case? i haven't looked closely at it in quite a while.

its a round little push on connector, kind of recessed center pin that goes on top of the nipple of the 4wd indicator. but yes a specialty plug.

ok, i know what you're talking about. threaded with a pointed "nipple".. hmm.. that fitting is gonna be hard to find.
