Reverse light problems

So my reverse lights are not work and from what I have determined it is because the harness that comes off the tcase isn't plugged in but for the life of me I can't find where it plugs in. Sorry if this isn't clear

The reverse connector is on the transmission not the transfer case. What kind of transmission do u have. On the T176/177's the connector is on top at the shift housing. On the T4/T5's the connector is on the side. (I think)

The t176 is on top. The t5 has a different connector than the t176

Easiest way to get to it is to remove the tunnel cover inside the jeep. The connector sits just behind and to to left (toward driver side) of the shifter tower. It has 2 flat prongs sticking up a little

Here's what it looks like on a T-19.

Yours probably has different connector, but it should be roughly in the same location.

Found it and the reverse lights are working but it appears the 4wd indicator light still won't illuminate any thoughts everything is plugged in and fuses are good

Have you got it plugged in on the transfer case?

The switch on the transfer case grounds the end of the wire. It is fairly easy to test its function without removing it with a 12V test bulb and long leads. Connect on eend to teh battery positive and see if you can get the bulb to light up when connected to the switch or the harness going to it.
