Reputable Machinist in NOVA/DC

I've got a 4.2L out of an '83 Scrambler that, for road driving purposes, is shot. She runs, but it would take a miracle to pass emissions. Consequently, I am looking for a reputable machinist - meaning their work comes with some sort of warranty - in or around the NOVA/DC area. And I have, of course, considered buying a turn-key motor, but I want to keep my baby all original.

If you've worked with someone in the past, I would greatly appreciate any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

I bought a remanufactured 4.2 from Advanced Auto (work done by Recon) for about $1400, and I don't have a complaint in the world!!!

There is a really good machine shop I go to over in Waldorf. I can't remember the exact name. It is on Jay Gould court. Behind the MVA.

You might try Distands Amaco off SE Pynnselvania Ave, DC. I have gotten some parts for my CJ7 from them. 202-543-0200

I used to work with this guy, then he retired and opened his own shop @ his home in Dunkirk.
