replacing motorola alt with one wire delco on 1971 225

any diagrams on here for replacing the old Motorola three wire alternator with a one wire delco?

I did that on mine. No diagram needed. I removed the alt, reg & the harness between. Ran a heavy lead from the new alt down to the starter solenoid. That's it.

I used an 8 ga. wire,cause I had some already. I think 10 would suffice.

Your previous MOTOIRCRAFT alternator was using a 10 gauge wire to the solenoid through a Fusible Link. Unless you have substantially increased alternator theoretical output the 10 gauge will work but you have to put some harness protection fusing in there.
