Renegade or not
How can you tell if your cj is a renegade. I have a 1985 cj that has the high back seats and paded dash it also has p/brakes and p/steering and air. The air compressor is there but no plumbing. Can a vin tell what options came with this cj. Thanks

I don't believe you can tell from the vin if the Jeep is a Renegade. Renegades usually had better options in them but most of the options could be had in a non Renegade Jeep. If your Jeep has a clock and tach then it is either a Laredo or a Renegade. Although all Renegades did not have a clock and tach as they were an option in a Renegade but standard in the Laredo.

CjinPA is right. You could get any Laredo option on any other CJ7. Although I'm not sure that you could get the vertical stripes on the seats if you didn't get the Laredo package.
